Name: Veronica or "Ronnie" (Her). She has gone by many names. Door: Door Pass. Age: Appears to be around 24. Actually Immortal. (However, it is difficult, but possible, to kill a succubus.) Appearance: Usually some version of a young blonde woman who would be considered attractive wherever it is she happens to be. She can alter her appearance enough to adjust the bone structure of her face, muscular development, height and weight (within reason). She can vary her skin tone from pure snow white to a dark olive. Her hair and eyes can also shift however she wishes. When she is taken, she looks like a healthy, if a bit thin, Caucasian British fashion model of the time, channeling a 'California girl' vibe. Wheat blonde hair, unusual hazel-blue eyes, 5'9", around 120 lbs. Might be mistaken on occasion for actor/singer Peggy Lipton. If she hasn't fed recently, she might look an unhealthy thin. If she delays eating even more, she can become gaunt and can eventually resemble a starved prisoner in a concentration camp. Given the time period from which she is taken, she arrives wearing a simple outsit of blue jeans, a white, long-sleeved tee-shirt with big, pink roses on them, pink running shoes and small gold hoops in her pierced ears. She wears a gold watch with a brown leather strap on her left wrist. History: Veronica/Ronnie - or Her - has been alive for a long time. She has vague memories of being very young and untrained and decidedly wild. She doesn't recall a childhood as such. She was schooled to control her natural talents as a succubus. This included draining your victim target intended to maintain a certain level of health i.e. not killing them. She used to be quite vicious, but grew to develop much better control over this ability and others, including how to best seduce her intended and so on. The first name she remembers using is 'Eleanor'. This was in 12th Century England. She lived just outside a small settlement and tried to blend in with the villagers. It didn't work terribly well and she had to relocate after only a few feedings. She developed better social skills - mostly - as time passed and changed her name and appearance frequently, moving often. It is impossible to list every 'life' Ronnie has lived. She has loved and lost, frequently to her human aging or dying from disease. She has been caught a few times and her accusers tried to burn her once. She has been 'drowned' several times and had to dig her way out of a few mass graves in her time. Sometimes her loves have known what she is - a succubus/demon - and cared for her. When she is taken, she last recalls attending a boot sale in the parking lot of a pub. She had just lost her most recent lover to cancer and has been wandering the country, eating when necessary and dealing with her loss. He had been an earl and very sweet to her. Personality: Positive Trait: Love Love is a very powerful emotion. One might think that who we are when we are born dictates who we should be for the rest of our lives, stereotypes, 'rules' and all. People who have gone through traumatic experiences, physical and mental, are examples of change that can easily occur in a human being or other similar life forms. Those who have been raised in loving homes might be different from those who are not. Without diving deep into psychology, just because your friend happens to feed on sexual activity doesn't mean you can't trust them to safely babysit your children. This can also apply to a succubus. Ronnie is capable of loving someone, platonically or romantically, and cares for those she loves. She will take risks to protect them and use her abilities to keep them healthy and safe. Negative Trait: Selfish Love aside, who comes first? Veronica. It was ingrained in her at an early age, due to the nature of her existence. She must ensure she has a source of food, which is logical, but she has a low tolerance for those who don't change their plans to accommodate her, whether she needs a 'meal' or wants to go shopping for new clothes. Or trying different positions in bed right now. If she doesn't want to do something, she has been known to pout or try to wheedle or have a tantrum. The word 'bitch' has been used, but it isn't just that. That's an unfortunate side-effect and something she has been working on reducing for years, with some success Negative Trait: Mercurial Ronnie can have moments - or days - when she will change her mind from one sentence to the next and her mood can go from euphoric to south of depressing in a blink. This is not a constant thing, thank goodness, but her tendency to 'change channels' while communicating could be categorized as someone suffering from ADHD. She usually has to be doing something and finds it difficult to sit still or focus on occasion. It can be exhausting for all concerned, especially those with her. Negative Trait: Temper Her temper can be her nemesis. She has made poor decisions based on outrage/rage/perceived attack and so on. She doesn't get set off easily, but when she does, look out. If you think you can talk her down, go for it. Or you can check on her tomorrow and she'll be fine (mostly). Or, due to her mercurial nature, you can wait five minutes and see if she can pull herself out of it. She may forgive, but she is unlikely to forget anyone who truly crosses her lines in the sand. Powers and Abilities: Please Note: Anything with a line through it should apply, but in the City, it works in a restricted manner or not at all. Which - except for non-succubus oriented abilities and the succubus weaknesses, of course - is everything, really. Physical Abilities: Skilled at fighting with hand-held weapons, such as a knife, dagger, staff, mace and sword, and long-range weapons, such as crossbow, longbow, and a variety of firearms that are available up until she is taken to the City, approximately 1966. She also has training in hand-to-hand combat. Out of necessity, she knows how to survive in the wilderness. This last part won't help her too much in the City, though. Physical Abilities - Particular to a Succubus -Energy Draining: Ability to drain the sexual energy from living beings through physical contact and feed off their life force. Please Note: The City will limit this to enough to survive, and only with permission from the target intended character(s) player(s). -Lust Inducement: Ability to induce sexual lust in other beings through physical contact. Please Note: This will only be utilized with permission from the target intended character(s) player(s). -Accelerated Healing: Ability to heal from sustained wounds and injuries at a rapid speed. Restricted by the City. Mental Abilities -Dream Manipulation: Ability to enter and manipulate the dreams of other people. Weaknesses Physical Weaknesses -Sexual Need: Succubi and Incubi are dependent on the sexual energy and life force of living beings to sustain themselves. -Magic: As with most supernatural beings, Succubi (and Incubi) are vulnerable to magic. Mental Weaknesses -Sexual Addiction: Feeding off the sexual energy of other beings causes a euphoric effect that can easily become highly addictive. This can be accentuated and become debilitating under certain circumstances. She is very vulnerable when this occurs.
